Shivan and Narresh to set the mood for AIFW SS 16 Day 1 with the offsite show

New Delhi, Sept 26, 2015: Known to beautifully amalgamate the nuances of art in fashion with heady inspirations ranging from French post-Impressionist painter Henri Rousseau, Barnett Newman to Italian master Lucio Fontana, Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja are known for their able-bodied trikinis, draped trankinis, maillots, resort saris to bikinis. FDCI announces Kohler presents Shivan & Narresh at an offsite show on Day 1 of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016, slated from Oct 7-11 at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla.

Sunil Sethi, President FDCI says, “We are delighted to have Kohler as our partner for this season and the designers blend well with Kolher’s creative philosophy. Shivan and Narresh are the future of fashion with more and more women embracing their eclectic swimwear styles; they have introduced magical drapes within this genre, in keeping with what modern women desire for a resort getaway. It will be interesting to see how the designers will translate the vivid colours and post-Impressionist artworks of Diego into their ingenious innovations at an offsite show.”

Shivan and Narresh have reinvented swimwear style with their eponymous label, which exudes subtle elements as it takes the six-yard drape to a new level with the lycra and bikini sari. Shivan exclaims, “The spring-summer '16 collection takes forward the artistic language of Mexican artist Diego Rivera and infuses its spirit in a Mediterranean mood for holidays and honeymoons to be recreated at the offsite show.”

Popular for their cruise gowns and kaftans, the duo is excited about adding an intoxicating energy and flavour into the spring fever. The collection is to be presented in association with kitchen and bathroom specialist Kohler, and keeping this in mind, Narresh adds, “The line takes the silhouette language, inspired by the sharp constructs of Kohler's Couture Collection. The colour palette swims in tranquil notes of terracotta, herb greens, aqua and Hollywood pinks.”
