Line Outline

Deepit Chugh had several successful stints with Pantaloons and PARX at Raymond after graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. His label ‘Line Outline’ presented “IDYLL” a men’s wear line that unveiled a fashionable look at energetic, hopeful clothing for the coming season. Opting for easy soft fabrics like cotton, as well as cotton blends, along with Bemberg silk and twill, Deepit preferred minimal hand embellishments as he highlighted cording, pitta work and splashes of zardosi.

There was a marked preference for colour blocking and some interesting patterns play that emphasised the appeal of the outfits. The ready-to-wear line had striking offerings like the navy trousers and asymmetrical waistcoat both in poly blend, cross hatch weave, worn with a stylish white digitally printed shirt in cotton satin, topped with a New Age red/blue, colour blocked, trench coat with wide lapels created in twill with piping detailing.

Giving men’s wear some colourful touches the digitally printed three-piece set comprising shorts/shirt in Bemberg silk with a short trench coat in cotton twill; brought a fun element to dressing up for the male order.

Silhouettes were baggy with an emphasis on seaming and piping, as well as wide lapels, off-centre closures and contrast insets for jackets. Prominent buttons added a masculine character to the men’s jackets.

Men’s wear got a great stylish fashion direction, which will make the collection “IDYLL” by Deepit Chugh, a great seller with fashion forward followers.

Commenting on the latest showcase, Deepit Chugh said, “Fashion, for me, goes beyond seasonal wear. In fact, something that can be worn multiple times, enabling easy separates for a versatile wardrobe. My focus is not only on what one sees but how one feels - perhaps outrageous and dashing sometimes, occasionally subdued and sublime sometimes. My collection Chapter 2- IDYLL for FDCI X LFW perfectly amalgamates all these things that I believe, after all fluidity isn't such a novelty until we give it an interpretation to suit the times. Our interpretation gives it the luxurious feel and touch and an alternate way of merging masculine and feminine”.
