When designers Shikha and Shristi showcase their collections, it is always an elegant and romantic fusion of the ultra-glam looks. Their latest line for the coming season called “Prakriti” at the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week was all about feminine, style that exuded the beauty of fabrics and colours.
Their colour story was a scenic look at ivory sea mist, lavender Valerian, sage sea foam green and white. The fine selection of silk, organza and delicate tulle proved to be the perfect foundation for the fashion offering.
For a night of festivities for the Cinderella in every woman, the white embroidered gown was just the right option to dance in.
The entry of a tiered, layered skirt with a kurti set the mood of the show, when it was followed by a white delicately embroidered lehenga, choli and dupatta trio. Palazzos were creatively layered and appeared with feminine kurtas, while the empire-line gown with dolman; bell-sleeved cape would be ideal eveningwear. Adding more excitement to the collection was the front, tie-up, asymmetric robe over a tiny choli and lehenga duo.
The gorgeous showstopper Chitrangada Singh looked beautiful as she glided on the runway in a sea foam green lehenga, choli and tulle dupatta with the most exquisite silver floral embroidery.
With the festivities just around the corner, “Prakriti” by designing duo Shikha and Shristi, will be the premiere choice for women who long to make an exciting, memorable entry.
