ABOUT DHI
Dhi means ‘a thought’ in the ancient Sanskrit language.
Dhi started as a single thought of how to preserve Indian traditional workmanship and keep them relevant in our ever-evolving world.
Dhi is a collaboration of designers, artists, artisans,entrepreneurs and technologists led by Anjana Bhargav and Ankita Bhargava Meattle.
DHI PHILOSOPHY
We believe in Slow fashion, ensembles that are timeless, seasonless and sustainable. Founded on the philosophy of re-inventing traditional Indian patterns into modern day classics, we design comfortable effortless pieces for the global woman.
Dhi caters to the principles of zero wastage and uses age-old Indian pattern-making skills to pursue this goal.
Collaborating with designers, technologists and craftsmen, we create collections inspired by sim- plicity, functionality and elegance.
DHI SS21 MIRROR ME
A collection conceptualized during the pandemic of Covid-19, resonates of a quiet fortitude. Over the last few months, when everyone was looking outwards for hope, we looked inwards towards self-introspection and self love.
Stemming from emotions like self -introspection, determination and a keen resolve to overcome the obstacles of these times with a stoic attitude of hope and determination rolled together.
Mirror Me, our latest sustainable collection is a sum of all of these emotions, layers and reflections. The collection comprises of separates that are conducive to working from home in relaxed and comfortable fits with crisp construction and attention to detail that lend themselves to “Above the Key Board Dressing” - the new work from home reality. It resonates of a chic, sophisticated, relaxed mood of understated luxury. Cutting edge, yet deceptive in its simplicity.
The garments are made in sustainable, soft organic cottons, (Oeko-Tex standard 100) and hand- spun Khadi - the historic fabric of India’s movement for independence that inspires self-reliance and self-motivation by itself.
Cut on the principles of zero wastage the collection inspires responsible living.
The colours are bold new neutrals/ Navy, Quiet wave aqua, hints of happy and muted tones.
The collection is - Easy to wear Easy to care and Easy to pair.
It inspires introspection, self-love, the desire to look good yet feel comfortable throughout the day, where work and play now intermingle and go hand in hand.
