THE HIVE

Where nature dances and swarms on air, as life glistens through a steely membrane. A pause – of colourless beings unexposed behind walls of uncertainty. Where boundaries of consciousness echoes in removal of beauty, breathing mists on thin glass.

It is this nothingness which exists and resonates with the core values of nature – beauty in each end for a new beginning.

The collection takes inspiration from the understanding of life in slow motion. Where there is beauty in the burning of life that which dissipates into the nothingness of time - end of something and the beginning of anything. This has been translated during the design process through zero waste pattern making and construction, weaving together indigenous handwoven textiles from silks to the finest Pashminas from Indian clusters in hues of egg shell, beige and creams. It also incorporates silk painting by hand and thread as it evokes the unpredictable nature of time.
