New Delhi, August 8, 2002: Sunsilk created a splash at the India Fashion Week 2002 with a plethora of activities from hair styling, celebrity hair makeovers, workshops and a dazzling hair fashion show titled - 'Sunsilk Styles of the Silver Screen' during the week. One of the most applauded Sunsilk fashion show was the crowning glory in the entire week, which got rave reviews from the audience. The Sunsilk hair experts Samantha Kochhar and Jawed Habib, along with the International Celebrity Hairstylist Joseph 'Neeko' Abriol created the magic during the week, with loads of watchers clamoring to the Sunsilk Salon to get their hair done by the experts. According to Mr D Shivakumar, Business Unit Head, HLL, Haircare, "This year's response to the Sunsilk Salon and the workshops has been tremendous, much bigger than last year with the salon and workshops overflowing with consumers and trade. By being associated with events of the magnitude of India Fashion Week we would like consumers to further recognize Sunsilk as a hair fashion brand committed to providing quality products and better understanding the needs of its consumers." The 'Sunsilk Styles of the Silver Screen' hair fashion show saw India's leading models such as Jesse Randhawa, Aditi Gowitrikar, Viveka Babajee, Nethra Raguraman, Tapur Chatterjee, Diandra Soares, Vidya Malavade amongst others walk the ramp sporting hairdo's from the 60's to the year 2000. The show culminated into a grand finale sequence with hair done by International Celebrity Hairstylist 'Neeko' who presented his version of the 'Futuristic Look'. Compeered by the ever witty and lively host Sajid Khan with outfits by Fashion Designer Neeta Lulla and choreography by Achala Sachdev, the show received a thunderous applause.
